Pvt. Malachi Stabler enlisted in Company A in April of 1862.
Following the war he became a Methodist minister and was better known as "Preacher Stabler."
Stabler is given credit for naming the town of Wainwright near Finchburg. He is buried at Old Bethel Cemetery at Whatley, Alabama.

George Washington Windham was a member of Company E.
He is buried at Sepulga Cemetery in Conecuh County. This is located in Mt. Union, Alabama, off County Road 43, four miles south of Highway 84 (turn off in Herbert, Alabama).

Pvt. Thomas B. (Tom) Smith was a member of Company C.
He is buried in the
B.F. Smith Cemetery in Choctaw County.

Pvt. John Calvin Daniel was a member of Company I.
He is buried in the
Samaria Cemetery in Jasper, Alabama.

Private Rufus Walker, Company H, hailed from Milton, Alabama in Augauga County. In 1860 he was 40 years old. He was a POW having been surrendered by Lt. General Richard Taylor to Major E.R.S. Canby on May 4, 1865.
He was paroled in Selma in June 1865. Rufus was the father of Jesse G. Walker of this company.
Walker is buried at the Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery in Chilton County, Alabama.

Rufus J.Harkey, Company K, was
born October 12, 1847, and
died July 8, 1905. He is
buried at Old Blue Creek Church, Adger, Jefferson Co. Alabama.

Pvt. David A. Foreman, Co I, is buried in the Amity Baptist Church cemetery on the Old Line Road, Whatley.
Pvt. Foreman was born August 23, 1837. He was captured at Missionary Ridge in November 1863, transferred from the military prison in Louisville, Kentucky, to Rock Island in December 1863, and released from Rock Island June 26, 1865. He died November 3, 1921.
